Yes it is possible to rig DPA 4060s inside a blimp, depending on the intern=
al mike support structure. A decade ago I helped outfit an NPR Radio Expedi=
tions Arctic reporting trip whose main mike was a Sennheiser MKH40/MKH30 MS=
stereo pair in a Rycote blimp. We attached a piece of solid copper wire to=
the internal supports of that blimp, running the length of the blimp, and =
then clipped 4060s to the solid wire. This provided far more useable audio =
in high wind situations than the MS pair in the same blimp, with stereo eff=
ect due to the 14 inch separation of the 4060s at opposite ends of the blim=
p. For interviews the blimp was oriented sideways so each person spoke into=
a different end of the blimp.

uple of Rycote blimps: one for a ME66; and the other for a MKH-418S. I use =
the DPAs with some Rycote fluffies on a wire coat hanger, Chris Watson styl=

making it easier to attach the mikes to a stand for remote monitoring.
