Hi Folks, It's been quite a while since I posted. I hope everyone is doing well. To be perfectly honest: I've been very disappointed & frustrated with the lack of wildlife sounds to record these past few months. My usual subjects, bats - Have not come out of hibernation yet, here in the Northeastern US. I've been unable to get recordings of any early Spring Crickets, no "great" Songbirds, or a good Dawn chorus. And, I've just been very discouraged. In short: Does anyone have suggestions for nature recording in the suburbs? -And- I'll be attempting my first full review of a device which is *not* a bat detector: The LS-100 from Olympus, should be arriving any day now. It seems to be quite capable. I hope that I'll be able to add some useful information on it. Best regards, -Al http://batdetecting.blogspot.com/ |
