But if one already owns a portable 2-channel P48 power supply (like
the ART Phantom II), there is no advantage to purchasing the iRig.
Raimund's test suggests that one would be better off using the P48
supply with the recorder's preamps, if one owns the LS-10/11, PCM-M10
or other recorder with comparable preamp quality.
That's what I am doing while I save pennies for a Sound Devices preamp.
