Scott, Um, the Hass effect (first sound arrival registers)? This is said to be what makes the stereo effect work on loudspeakers indoors but not outdoors or in an auditorium. This is why cinemas use multi-channel sound. I don't think the Haas effect works with binaural kistening, but I don't know how to check this out. Delays in mixers came after my time in pro sound, but I'm told that the BBC Proms mixes use delays. Perhaps that's why I find them a bit clinical.
