<<I was talking to a radio presenter the otherday who suggested I could con= vert my recordings from mono to sterio. Does the work well and is it easy t= o do?>> It can't be done, for the simple reason that true stereo contains informati= on, in the form of timing and/or amplitude differences between the 2 channe= ls, which define positions within the left-right panorama, which do not exi= st at all in a singular mono track. Nothing can subsequently restore that m= issing information to define any sort of accurate representation of left-ri= ght location of sound sources. Scott Fraser |
