I couldn't agree more for a single concert, a single camera and a single au= dio recorder. The project needs only get a little more complicated or a lit= tle fouled up for problems to appear in profusion. I do projects with dozen= s and dozens of hours of material discontinuously recorded over four or fiv= e weeks in the field at multiple locations with several devices, those ofte= n not always running at the same time and with indifferent logging by the r= ecordists. There's protocols, shortcuts and software to assist, of course, = but...... Understand, I am not saying dual recording is not worth it. It is. But it i= s a pain in the neck. Double the batteries, just to start ;-) Marc |
