Howdy guys, =A0 I just returned from the "3rd Symposium on Acoustic Communication by Animal= s." During my explorations at the event at Cornell University, I came acros= s the device in the attachment. =A0 The microphone is designed for monitoring birds flying overhead, but I am c= ertain that list members can modify the device for additional uses. The fel= low at the lab reported excellent noise rejection along with low cost; the = mike solves a problem with certain types of environmental noise in the 1-4 = kHz range. =A0 I asked for permission to send the article from the abstract in the confere= nce literature to the recordists'=A0list.=A0Contact the author at Cornell b= y e-mail if you require plans and additional information for their DIY proj= ect. =A0 Regards, =A0 Mike Florida www.ParrotSpeech.com =A0 =A0 |
