Double MS is merely a system consisting of two cardioids pointed in
opposite directions with a single figure-8. Experiments with double MS
have been going on since the mid-90s. The first time I used it was in
2002 with two complete MS systems (Sennheiser MKH30/40 rigs) at Gray
Lodge Wildlife Refuge in the Central Valley about 55 miles (83 km)
north of Sacramento.
