I think the things people will like about this are:
- it has transformers
- AES digital output
- external power method more secure than USB method on its predecessor.
- internal power
- built in eyelets for carrying around neck
- mid-side ability
I think it is attractive, like all sounddevices things, but I don't think I=
need one for the time being. ;) If I had a recorder with AES input or a dS=
LR with some kind of inputs, I would consider it.
This looks like a high quality version of the juiced link pre-amps aimed at=
semi-pro to professional photogs and ENG events using dSLR, or professiona=
ls who need extra long cable runs based on the transformers built in.
BTW, the DR680 has AES inputs.
