I ordered a couple of the EM172's over the weekend to have a play with, and
came across a fairly neat circuit design for phantom powering the WM61a
capsules. I assume that this will work with the EM172's without too much
tweaking?

He also has an article regarding battery boxes with a schematic for a stereo
version of Gene's circuit.

I believe the author Richard Mudhar is one of the Wildlife Sound Recording
Societies (UK) resident tech guru's.
