Interesting charts.=C2=A0 Strange that my MR-1000 ranks so low.=C2=A0 But m=
y current configuration with external MM-1 preamps seems to make a few adju=
stments.=C2=A0 Relative to the preamps that come on the MR-1000.

Mic Impedance - 4.5k Ohms - MR-1000
Mic Impedance - 2k Ohms --- MM-1

S/N - 96dB - MR-1000
S/N - 126dB - MM-1

Dynamic Range - 120dB - MR-1000
Dynamic Range - 122dB - MM-1

Not that the limits of the device can be overcome with supplemental gear.=
=C2=A0 But cutting the Ohms at the Mic in half is significant.=C2=A0 And th=
e signal to noise ratio is significant.=C2=A0 I knew they made it better, b=
ut never really knew how outside of battery life.=C2=A0 And the difference =
would be much greater if I wasn't using mics with a 28dB (A weighted) noise=
 floor.

Also interesting to note a 10Hz - 100kHz range at 1-bit and only 10Hz-40kHz=
 range at 24bit / 192kHz.=C2=A0 I didn't know that.=C2=A0 I only knew that =
1-bit/DSD is supposed to have slightly better dynamic range than 24 bit.=C2=
=A0 Not that I have mics, nor monitors that use that extra range much (yet)=
.=C2=A0 And with the MM-1's only a 10Hz-50kHz frequency range, so cut in ha=
lf if I go DSD with them in use.=C2=A0 If specs are to be trusted.
