Hi Mitch,
Sonograms and Spectrograms are exactly the same thing.
Audacity DOES generate sonograms (spectrograms). 1. Load your sound
and see a waveform. 2. Then go to the sub menu accessed via the name
of your file which is shown on left hand side of the screen. 3. From
the sub menu choose 'Spectrum'. Now a sonogram/ spectrogram will
show on your screen.
Easy when you know what to do :-)
You mentioned Syrinx, yes I think it does work on a Mac.
