Hi Oryoki,

I have a copy of the HDP2 schematics and comparing with the block diagram o=
f the DR-680 I think there are significant differences between the two prea=
mp stages.  The DR-680 appears to have separate pre-amp stages for line and=
 mic inputs while the HDP2 uses the same preamp for both with a pad on the =
line input. The HDP2 has analog low cut and limiters whereas the DR680 has =
digital low cut and limiter.
