<<I was thinking of getting an Apogee MiniMe for transferring Reel to Reel & Cassette tape to my iMac for archival burning to CD. Will a Sound Devices USBPre do what I'm after??? It seems from the specs on their website it does. Although the sample rate is not as high as the MiniMe (only up to 48k) Does anyone on list have any experience in using it for this purpose?????>> Yes, the USBPre has both 1/4" & RCA line inputs, though I have only used its XLR mic inputs. It is an excellent sounding unit, in the tradition of all Sound Devices hardware. I'm interested in selling my USBPre as it has been made redundant by later purchases. Scott Fraser |
