Hi Kevin,
I have a few EcoCharge motorcycle type lead acid sealed batteries that I ca=
n connect parallel to allow greater record times on my 744t. Unfortunately=
EcoCharge is not longer in business, I change out the 12v battery portion =
of the system every few years. I made an XLR-4 pin to Hirose cable (and a =
backup) myself.

If you are a skilled solderer with good eyesight the Hirose connector shoul=
d be no problem however the connector is very small, the solder cups are ve=
ry (very) small and it takes a little bit of patience to solder the thing (=
and find the correct size cable). The current SD manual has pinout informa=
tion.

 adaptor ( DigiKey part number ZA5077-ND )?
