Should clarify: more expensive if like me you are more likely to buy from a boutique than acquire the parts and solder your own! I did do some poking around and couldn't find D-cell sleds I thought would work at first pass, and between that and the requisite soldering to the finicky connector -- apparently it's a REAL pain to work with -- I decided I was quite at peace supporting Leonard in this small way.
