Listening through headphones, you're probably missing the time-cues for spaciality that the SASS or any "spaced omnis with barrier" system gives. On speakers the differences are harder to hear. A coincident mic system is more mono-compatible, but it's a trade-off: better space on headphones vs. mono compatibility. -Dan Dugan |
