Hi Scott, That's a good idea. I played with it and decided it would really painful to= =A0terminate two cables in the 5-pin XLR housing. At the Y junction (in my case it's more like a W) I have a layer of insulat= ion, a layer of grounded metal tape, and then another layer of insulation. = I'll find out if it works well enough and has longevity!
