The BBC throw in another name to describe unbalanced =BC=94 jack plugs (suc= h as guitar leads) and that is igranic. It was used to positively identify any plug or socket that wasn=92t post office. If a post office plug, or 316 to give its proper name was inserted into a = =BC=94 socket, then the different tip shape could damage the socket. They still seem to call balanced =BC=94 plugs as TRS through. Andy UK That's a reference I've never come across. I mix a lot of concerts in metric-based countries & the standard term for these connectors is "Jack". |
