Hello, Dan,
Thank you for doing the testing. That is very interesting. I assume
you confirmed that the rear-mounted L-ion battery was still
more-or-less fully charged after the test. I also assume you were
running the latest firmware. Have you / are you going to let Sound
Devices know? That's certainly not a "feature", though I wouldn't
want to call it a "bug", either.
I wonder how it will work with a lead-acid battery. Anyone try that?
I assume the same.
Perhaps if the external battery pack would disconnect itself in a
protection mode (i.e, open the output at a certain voltage), that
might solve the problem until SD updates this "feature".
I also assume the 722 behaves the same.
