Hi Juan--
Curious. I was not aware that there are two
models. I see that Sennheiser only has the MKH
60-1 lit on their site now:
http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/products.nsf/resources/FAAE595E642FBA9=
2C12574330043AB4B/$File/MKH_60_P_48_GB.pdf.
I don't have a copy of their older spec sheet.
Does anyone remember whether the older model was
described as a, "Symmetrical Capsule Condenser
Microphone?"

On the matter of there being more audible noise
with your mkh-60 than with your Rode NT1-A,
Raimund's test on the the top row of this pdf:
http://www.avisoft.com/test/noisefloors.pdf
show's the greater amount of high end noise with
the mkh-60 quite visibly. As to whether your
mkh-60 unit is noisier than it should be, there's
some possibility based on Dobroides's
comparison, but its hard to tell and Sennhesier
often does not charge to look at it.
