If you are getting anything like that high a self noise out of a MKH 60 
you should have Sennheiser check it out. I've two MKH 60's and both 
agree with the 6dB A self noise rating.

Sennheiser will properly test the mics, they have the proper equipment 
to do so.  You do not.
