I guess I'm offended that someone used the term "gadgets"  to refer to 
recording equipment.  The people that complain must not understand that gear 
and nature recording (any recording for that matter) go hand in hand. Those 
that would complain join this group only  to access a clearing house for being 
able to listen to nature recordings. (not that this is a bad thing)   Is there 
room for both groups... You bet. No one however should be smug about escaping 
the evil tech talk group. Remember also that most of the new members (and most 
of the nature recordings) are a product of Nature Recordists
