Thanks Greg! I was starting to compare your DPA and Schoeps rigs last
week too. I agree with Mike, its hard for me to distinguish them as
presented. I'd need files and be able to cut sections back to back. I
_suspect_ that there's less low-mid "roar" in the mkh-8040 than what
I get with my mkh-40--  I derive this from the side by side test we
did a few years back. in which the MK-41's also exhibited smoother
lower mids. This holds true with mhk-80 vs. mkh40 in my experience,
so its promising/worth more study.

With 22 minutes I should be able to find lots to analyze!
Personally, I'd rather have original clips without filtering or gain
changes so I can see output differences and know I'm starting from
scratch.  The sound source distances involved may be great enough to
accommodate side by side positioning without a huge issue.

I can set-up Soundflower to record the system sound playback if you
can't get to alternate uploads. The 192kbps stream should be pretty
