Haven't we had this discussion quite frequently? I am asking those who can explain, but even with Sound Device's low noise preamps, there would still be nothing gained by going up to 96, would there? Wouldn't the noise and definition at nature recording levels retain an optimum level for even the lowest mic noise and SD preamp combination? Perplexed with Warm Regards, Mark R. |
