I see the SD788 now supports both direct connection USB keyboard input and short cut keys for controlling the unit as well as direct connection input/output logic control. (No CL1 needed) Now you can have a simple hand controlled remote switch for stop/start control. That also makes it easier (and cheaper) for remote or automatic controlling in the field with a little dedicated microprocessor or maybe even a Pocket PC - without needing any adapters at all or complex communications protocol. That makes it much easier to control than using the now redundant CL1 serial system of its predecessors. Rally |
