Wikipedia has the full skinny on the colors of noise, complete with
diagrams, formulae and samples.

Basically, white noise has an even energy distribution through all
frequencies and pink noise has more energy in lower frequencies. An early
Buchla Box had a white noise generator with a pink<->blue knob, actually
just a bass<->treble filter.
