However, a sentence on your webpage:

Your second link is dead, so I can't check, but you may be comparing
capacity factors to percentages of generated power ... not exactly the
same thing.  The capacity factor is how much power you get divided by
the absolute maximum amount you can get.  For a nuclear plant it is
very high, typically near 90% (10% loss due to maintenance), while for
a wind turbine it's usually around 30% (70% loss due to the fickle
nature of the energy source).  Nuclear may generate 27% of UK's power,
but it's likely that wind generates a negligible fraction of the power
at this time.

Now back to the regularly scheduled 16b vs. 24b 'debate'..
