Fascinating Bernie =96 I didn't know waterboatmen made sounds like that. =


An underwater insect appeared swimming toward the shore at a speed
that could have put it near the transducer about the same time as the
sound.  At first I thought "waterboatman", but then it looked too big.
 It did have a pair paddle like feet like a waterboatman, but it was
more the shape and size of ground beetle =96 I think about 22mm in
length, and black in color.  When I leaned forward to get a better
look it quickly swam to the bottom and dug itself into the mud.
