Brief look at the rh10 proves it to be a complex circuit. It uses both a DC/DC converter and a few voltage regulators. It appears that the DC/DC converter is good to a max of 10 volts input but the 2.4 regulator is only good to 6 volts. I can not figure out at first look what kind of protection that part THP401 on the DC charge input line is. I hate to speculate on this critter or any like it any further. Good luck.
