Hi Debbi, I prefer to have the mics on and running all the time, so I use this<http://tinyurl.com/y73mxj>or something similar running into a minidisc or anything that supplies plug in power. I find that bird calls can happen so unexpectedly and quickly tha= t even a quick recorder wouldn't work for me. Then after the call or song, I make out-loud notes to myself about date, time and location. If I had Klas'= s new mic's, these recordings would be almost perfect as the self noise would not be an issue. Mark R. |
