Hi Debbie-
You may have considered this, but one solution is to use the
"record-pause" mode on the recorder. I set my NH700 Hi-MD in manual
gain and "record-pause" and slip it in a leather pouch in my pocket.
Takes about 5 seconds to initiate a recording. It stays in
"record-pause" for 2 hours on a fresh AA battery (with the headphone
volume up). Having a pair of omni-directional mics mounted on your
body (headphones, hat, shoulders) is a quick mic rig. Rob D.
