 The Sony D8 is power-efficient enough that it doesn't generate much heat o=
f its own. And heat is a great way to keep your head drum less inviting to =
condensation. Dessicant plus heat is an even better combination.

Your machine is most vulnerable when it has cooled down in the pre-dawn hou=
rs. Consider sleeping with the machine to keep its temperature up.

Also, if no drybox, lightbulb or other heat source is available, a chemical=
 heat pack made for cold climate use can resuscitate a D8.
