as you know firmware version 2.0 will be out 25th of september for
all the sound devices 7 series.
v.2 holds up a good amount of reasons to buy a 702 instead of a 722
for natur recordists, at least i think so.
correct me if i=B4m wrong and if i=B4m overseeing some points, but...
up to know the 722 where much better if you will be out recording
several days (weeks :-)) and you don=B4t carry a laptop with you to
backup files, because you had enough space. to have this space in
flash cards would be a little bit expensive.
now, what speaks against recording all day onto an 4gb flash card or
microdrive, and at the end of a day you just backup everything into
an external 2,5" firewire drive (or maybe on two, for backup
reasons), erase the flash card and record with it the next day again?
shure, the flash card and a 40gb external firewire drive will cost
maybe 200,- =80, but you still save 300,-=80 i guess in comparison to a =
