Oryoki,
thanks for sharing this, I wish I had it 3 months ago.

you have pretty much everything that surfaced in my
recent research. the AETA PSP-3 seems to be long gone.

you might look at the Apogee Mini series, assuming they
meet your size requirements of fitting in a coat pocket.
I couldn't find the physical dimensions in a quick search.

speaking of coat pockets, finding a used MP-2 seems to be
much more portable solution than using two MP-1s, as the MP-2
has the same form factor, albeit weighing a bit more than
a single MP-1.

I bought a used MP-2 for $400 recently on taperssection,
highly recommended.

The Grace pres are just too big, at least for my purposes.
I also bought a modified V3, with hi gain mod, and a mod
for external switchable M-S, but I may sell it due to its
size.

there are other smaller size, lower gain pres out there,
although I don't recall who made them, as low gain pres didn't
make my shortlist. note that the Church and Reactive Sounds
have gain in the 30 db range.

as for the pricey Sonosax, there was a recent offer on ebay with
a price of $600, and no bids were made.

cheers,
clay
