I'm working on such a concept, but not for portable use. I've settled on
lawn-sprinkler piping and connectors. Hooking it onto the tripods (I use on=

for each mic) is the tricky part (duct tape!). While I would prefer
long-rake fur, I'm using a fleece blanket at the moment, and it isn't half
bad in light to moderate winds. Gusts still get through, and it dulls the
sound just a bit more than I'd like.

whereby a pair of NT2000's can be used in M/S, X/Y, and maybe even spaced
