Hi Walt,
It really only stretches in one direction, and not with great elasticity.
Seems less durable than the 1inch grey fur I have been using for the
last year or so.

I'll try to get a light-through-the-weave shot if the sun is out in
the morning. It doesn't let the light shine through quite like the tan
shag, but it's great for a breezy day.
For very light wind, instead of fur, I use a Lycra-Spandex two sided
fleece that stretches well in all directions. I'm confident it stops
the wind better than the tan shag would. If the breeze is steady I
put the grey fur on as a second layer.
