Thanks for the direction to s-imager. This is the stuff I need to know. When you got the gain of a 32" parabolic the self noise of a mic and recorder is not so important. Not my best gear. This was recorded with a MZ-R55 minidisc bought used for $75.00 and I was using a pair of Sennheiser ME-62 omni's. Rich This years budget went into speakers and amps.
