Hey Kent, sorry for the delay in responding. I'm looking over my=20
financials, trying to decide to get the MKH's or not. I'm not adverse=20
to the possibility of pooling funds. But I also think I might be able=20
to swing them on my own. Which is to say too, you'd be more than=20
welcome to borrow them if you want.
I'm waiting to hear about what would be a big project, and if I get=20
it, I'll probably just take the plunge, as I'd be out recording for=20
some serious time this summer.
I'm also about to finish up building a 4 mic, 7 channel Schoeps=20
system, that uses two 722 recorders. It 'should' be a gorgeous=20
surround system, and I hope to do some cool nature recording this=20
summer as time allows.
The big thing I'm trying to figure out with the MKH is what size=20
zeppelin to put them in. Rycote normally puts them in a football size=20
thing. You can fit them in a smaller zeppelin, at the expense of wind=20
protection. Can't decide what would be best. The normal stereo one is=20
just too damn big though.
