Tim,
I remember a discussion about the Schoeps v. moisture problem several
times over on the R.A.M.P.S. group and the consensus there was that
this crackling problem was (usually) due to contaminants on the
circular contacts where the body and capsule mate. The movie guys
there claimed that if they kept the contact VERY clean that they
didn't have this problem.
