Allen it is not insane! In fact known for a fact to bring great joy and
wildly fine recordings, without hiss or noise or other artifacts.
Financial side effects are of course a more personal thing...
I would not wait for a variation - they are still refining the firmware
and updates are a regular thing, so the 7XX just get better!
