The maximum peak input level of the 3.5 Series preamps is typically
-22 dBu. This will indeed sacrifice a little headroom, but I think for
most wildlife recording it would not be a problem, if you are
recording subjects you anticpate will be loud just don't use the
preamp, at high sound levels it will not offer any advantage anyway.
It works with the Edirol and almost every domestic portable MD, DAT
and cassette recorder.

Maybe we get 3.5 of the points below?
