Note that this is a page promoting belden's particular design. It's
worth checking their claims from independent sources. The web contains a
lot of info that's not tied to a particular manufacturer. The link I
gave is from the engineering department of a cable supplier who sells a
number of brands. While not so much focused on just the shield layer, it
does give a good general perspective on the issues involved:

I love the ability to quickly access lots of info and opinion about a
product. One has to be aware of the particular bias of the source, but
the internet is a huge info source.
