A good dealer should agree to let you return the MicTube if its not what you want and step up to one of several options around $400 like the RME QuadMic, the Sound Devices MP-1 and the Shure FP23. The later two are very compact and powered from 9volt batteries and will allow the me-67/670 to shine.
