That's appreciable. I guess one could wire three Shure WL-183 omni 
caps running on each C-122 mic cable and get 18dB(A) self noise and 
42 mv/Pa X3 sensitivity for about $350 a pair,..or serial em-23 
elements which start out with 14dB(A) self noise.  Rob D.
