Earthworks microphones can go up to 50 kHz and more. I used some models and=

they worked really well.
In general, to get higher in frequency response, smaller vibrating
membranes are required. This often means reduced sensitivity and higher
self-noise.
Thus you have to look at all these parameters to choose the mic right for y=
ou.
Of course you also need a good preamplifier and a high rate sampling board.=

I often worked with LynxTwo which is able to run up to 200kHz sampling
rate. To go beyond you need boards like those offered by National
Instruments. Other than being expensive, they don't have standard windows
driver and also they often lack a-a filters. Most of them are limited to 12=

or 14 bits.

A cheap solution to capture high frequency sounds is to use a bat detector=

with direct high-frequency output. Though, don't expect a flat frequency
response, at least in cheap models.
