At the top of the main group window you will find a welcome message and
a link "My Account". Click on that and sign in. On the page that opens
you will find a link "Edit my Marketing Preferences", click on that. Say
no to absolutely everything, then save changes and you will find a lot
of this stuff is cut way down. Though it does not get rid of all.

Naturally, Yahoo does not make this too clear. And Doug is right, this
is up to each person to set.

Congrats Bernie!

Lang

Greetings friends,

Just got word from our publisher that they've sold out of the first
run of my new book/CD, "Wild Soundscapes: Discovering the Voice of
the Natural World" (Wilderness Press)...all 7500 copies...and they're
going to a second printing early next week.

For those of you who have supported this effort, I am grateful and
happy to have been of some help. It's a difficult subject, at best,
and there are many flaws in the ointment. I've probably learned as
much about field work from being part of this terrific group (that's
mostly Doug VG's fault) than from all the previous 35 years or so
that preceeded the book and I'm honored to be part of it.

Warmest regards to all,
Bernie Krause
