I couldn't agree more, a lot of us delete this kind of rubbish after
reading the first few lines

(Perhaps it will be of much more interest to provide some kind of
fieldjournal ; tell of how a recording was made, and let the
recording be heard.)

As they say, "put up or shut up!" there is no substitute for field work,
all the bench tests in the world cant legislate for "real time
recordings" I would rather listen to examples than some bloody jargon
going from one to the other!!

(I would love to get some small course in how to record outdoors.
Anyone interested in sharing their experiences in the field?)

Cornel and the naturesound organization will do this once a year and is
very beneficial to beginners & pros alike, the naturesound organization
has one in June for a couple or three days, have a look at
http:www.naturesounds.org for the schedule.

Well said mate :-)

I suggest that we keep this technical discussion off list, the
majority of us already knows that MD recorders are great, it is hard
to convince me or others if you compare it by NOT using the device in
your so called test.
THAT my friend is VERY unworthy for a scienctist.

Besides, I do not think our moderator will be too happy seeing this
discussion that has already been dealt with in the past over and
aover again...

Regards, Evert
(This is not meant as a personal attack, it's just that this list is
for nature recordist, not for high tech lab personel that spend all
their days indoors...)
