Yes, this has even more of the SASS sound. I expect you are going to
have a lot of fun with that mic.
The SASS I have are definitely going to be a permanent part of my kit.
If you have been following along on the samples I put up there are
samples from mine in the sets.
One other thing to think about. Crown, in their boundary mic manual say
there is a problem with putting a mic dead center on the boundary.
Apparently too many strange things happen to the sound there. I notice
you located the mics centered up and down, but offset toward center. The
original SASS mic location is offset both ways. If you look at my SASS
MKH110, the mics are located in the same location as Crown used:

Note I recently machined new mic supports for this mic to improve the
ease of inserting the mics, so it now does not look quite like the
photos. I'll get some new photos up eventually.
With the SASS MKH20 it was necessary to offset the mics relative to each
other, so I moved the location of one mic down to the equivalent offset
below center:

I've a few ideas I want to try off the basic SASS configuration. So,
eventually I'm going to be hand making some housings to try those. Or
maybe modifying the housing, I've not decided.
