I'm unfamiliar with how a EM-23 might work with the Telinga. Nor am I
sure if the Pro 2 is the same. The Pro 5 has electronics in the handle
that are part of the mic system. Klas would be the one to ask on this.
I just went and checked all the sensitivity ratings:
ME-67 is rated 50mV/Pa
ME-62 is rated 31mV/Pa
Impedance for both with the K6 module is 200 ohms
Sensitivity for the unmodified EM-23 is (OdB=3D1V/Pa), I
don't believe Klas has given a sensitivity figure for his modified
version, which is lower self noise than the original.
The Stith info did not make it through the group mailer, so you will
have to provide that. I'm kind of assuming they recommended the ME-62 as
it's a combo they sell. One of the folks with experience with the two
ME's needs to examine that. I've not used either mic, have no experience
with any of the ME series. Since Stith sells the Telinga combined with
this mic, I'd assume it does ok.
The MKH-20, which has no problem with the Portadisc is a sensitivity of
25mV/Pa, but has a lower impedance of 150 ohms.
Walt
